KSS’s Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna College of Education,Belagavi today 28/02/2024 celebrated National Science Day at 2:00 pm in the college. Under this year’s theme INDIGENOUS TECHNOLOGY FOR VIKSAT BHARAT. The Chief Guest of the function was Shri M. M. Hulagabali , Head master, Madhyamik Vidyalaya, B.K. Kangralli, Belagavi.The celebration began with a prayer song by student of 3rd semester Kavya M. , student Chaitra G. Introduced the Chief Guest and welcomed all the dignitaries. Respects were paid to Bharat Ratna Sir C. V. Raman by performing Pooja to his photo. Dr. S. A. Narasgouda, Chairperson of science club presented the introductory remarks on the theme and Sir C.V. Raman. All the dignitaries, staff and students of 1st and 3rd semester took the science pledge lead by Prof Sagar Torangatti. 1st semester students Srushti , Ritika , Jyoti, Sushmita , Asha ,Vinayak and Prasad presented colorfull science program wherein chemical colorfull experiments were performed on stage. Roleplay of Sir C. V. Raman was performed by student of 3rd semester Dhanaraj H. and roleplay of Issac Newton by Alka Naik. A Mime depicting Save water , Save Earth was presented by 3rd semester students Smita and group. A skit guided by Prof Sagar Torangatti titled Sciene behind Indian tradition was presented by Soumya and group. Certificates were distributed to students Rashmi and Rahul for winning 2nd place and consolation place in the inter college essay competition organised jointly by belgaum science centre and Chandragiri B.Ed college Belagavi. The chief guest , Dr. Hulagabali in his speech highlighted the indispensable role of science in daily life and also called upon students to value and appreciate the value of science and indigenous technology and its role in the progess of the nation. The chief guest was felicitated on this occasion.The President Dr. B. G. Dharwad conveyed the presidential remarks. Student Janaki G. proposed the vote of thanks. Students Jinendra and Akshata D. anchored the program.
Secretary of science club Priyanka I., all office bearers and science club members , staff members and students coordinated the entire program.
