K. S. R. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION – A GLANCE.
Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna College of Education, bearing the name of the great revolutionary patriot, “Sangolli Rayanna” was established by Kanakadas Shikshan Samiti, Gadag, in the year 1982 with the inspiration of Honorable Shri Gavisiddappa Belawadi Ex.M.L.C. of Bombay Karnataka who was one of the directors of the Samiti for the noble cause of education. Under the dynamic leadership of its Founder President Dr. B. F. Dandin and Secretary Shri. Ravi B. Dandin, the College has grown up to be one of the prestigious college of education in the northern part of Karnataka.
This college was affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad till the academic year 2009 -10. From the academic year 2010 – 11 onwards the college is affiliated to Rani Chennamma University, Bhutaramanhatti, Belagavi. It is recognized by N.C.T.E & Govt. of Karnataka & also included under Section 2(F) & 12(B) of UGC Act 1956 in the year 2003. From 19th May 2009 it is included in Government Grant in Aid. The college has successfully completed 32 Years & more than 3200 trained graduates have successfully come out of this college & are servicing in different capacities all over the country. In 2013 IGNOU study centre has been established in the college.
