KSS’s Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna College of Education Belagavi celebrated Teachers day today, 5th September 2024 in honour of the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great scholar, educationist, philosopher, and the second President of India. Students Council and students of 2nd Semester enthusiastically organized the function. Dr Mahadev S. Medar, K.E.S, BRC Belgavi rural and an alumni of the college was invited as the chief guest. Dr.B.G.Dharwad, Principal, KSR College was the president of the function. Respects were paid to the founder late Shri Gavisiddappa Belavadi, Ex MLC by performing Pooja to his statue.The formal celebration commenced with the prayer song by student Shweta Rajput. Student Asha Belagavi welcomed all the dignitaries on the dias along with flowers. Student Srushti Ramgonda introduced the chief guest of the function. Respects were paid to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan by performing Pooja. Students Sanjana Kamble, Maheshwari Ghadi, Pooja Patil, Madhu Janagouda and Harshada Jadhav spoke few words on Teachers Day. Dr. S.A Narasgouda also spoke on the occasion.The chief guest Dr. M.S Medar in his speech recalled his life experiences in achieving the present professional status and inspired the students.He also called upon the students to always maintain a positive attitude in life and work hard towards their dreams. Dr.M.S Medar sir was felicitated as a representative of teaching community on the occasion.The Chief Guest Dr. M.S.Medar distributed pens as a token of respect to all the faculty members. He also announced cash prizes for the 3 highest scorers at the B.Ed examination and also donated Rs 10,000 towards TLM. Students of 2nd Semester presented gifts to all the faculty members as a token of love and respect . Dr. B.G. Dharwad President , conveyed the presidential remarks. Student Naveen Y. Delivered the vote of thanks. Students Komal Naik and Sushmita Kardiguddi anchored the program. Sweets were distributed by the students. All the members of the staff and students of 2nd Semester were present on the occasion.
