KSS Samiti’s K.S.R. College of Education jointly with K.S.R. R High School on 26/01/2022 celebrated 73rd Republic Day. Dr B.G.Dharwad, Principal was the Chief Guest of the function. The celebration commenced by performing puja to the statue of Founder Gavisiddappa Belawadi. The formal function began with a prayer song by students Snehal and Komal. Student Manjunath welcomed the gathering. Dr. B. G. Dharwad, Principal and Chief Guest hoisted the tri-colour National Flag. School students and 3rd semester student Akbarali presented speeches and patriotic songs on the occasion.Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions organised by K S R R High Shool for school students. Speaking on the occasion,Dr B G Dharwad, Principal and Chief Guest remembered the great freedom fighters who played an instrumental role in the freedom movement of India and also the pioneering role of Dr B R Ambedkar in framing the constitution of India. Also he recalled the day as the martyr’ s day appreciating the patriotism and sacrifice of the great freedom fighter and patriot Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna who was hanged on this day by the British capturing him by deceit. Also he called upon students and teachers to play their roles wisely as citizens. Student Sangappa proposed the vote of thanks.Retired Physical Director of the college assisted in the flag hoisting and also graced the occasion by his presence. All the members of the staff and students of 3rd semester were present on the occasion. Student Rohini anchored the programme.
