Citizenship Training Camp 2025

Kanakadasa Education Society’s Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna College of Education, Belagavi organized a Citizenship Training Camp from 18/09/2025 to 20/09/2025 at Shri. Siddeshwar Temple premises, Kakati village.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Sushma R., Associate Professor and Head of the Postgraduate Department of Education, Rani Chennamma University, Belagavi.

The function was presided over by Dr. G. M. Sunagar, Principal of the college.

From 2:30 to 4:00 pm, Dr. Kanakappa Pujar, Assistant Professor at Rani Chennamma University, spoke on the topic “Constitutional Values and Civil Rights”.

Day 2: 19/09/2025

The day began at 6:30 am with a flag hoisting by the Principal Dr. G. M. Sunagar. From 8:30 to 9:15 am, trainees and faculty participated in a Yoga session.

After breakfast, a Shramadan (voluntary service activity) was conducted.

From 2:30 to 3:30 pm, Smt. Mangala Kurubar, Lecturer, DIET, delivered a talk on “The Need for Responsible Citizenship.
From 3:30 to 4:15 pm, Sri. Channabasappa Rotti, Senior Sub-Editor, Vijayavani newspaper, Belagavi, spoke on “The Role of Media in Education”.

Later, participants visited the Vijayavani newspaper printing press.

Day 3: 20/09/2025

The day began with flag hoisting at 9.00 followed by a book presentation session under Young Thinkers Club wherein Prof Sagar Torangatti introduced the book Bhavateera Yaana authored by Dr. A. R. Manikant. Students performed Shramdaan and the Camp concluded with a concluding function wherein Sri. P. B. Dudagunti, KAS, CAO, Zilla parishad, Belagavi was the Chief Guest Dr. G. M. Sunagar, Principal presided over the function.
