A science workshop titled MAKE YOUR OWN LAB was organised by KSR Science Club in association with Agastya foundation on 18th and 19th September 2024 in the college . The workshop commenced with the inauguration function.Student Veena invoked the blessings of almighty by singing a prayer song. Komal welcomed the dignitaries. The workshop was inaugurated by watering the sapling. Principal Dr B. G. Dharwad presented the introductory remarks. Srushti anchored the program. The resource person Sri Manjunath Jagmannavar then took over the session. Students were divided into groups for the workshop. Sir presented the making of various models by projecting on the screen. Sir provided all the materials needed to the students and guided them to make the various working models. Students made models to present concepts in physics and biology. The models made were smoke box demonstrating the properties of light, coupled pendulum, Eye ball model, lungs diaphragm model, pupil model, circular motion, electroscope, persistence of vision, electric kit, infinity Road model, skeleton, periscope, ray pad model, kaleidoscope, simple DC motor, camera, centrifugal force, inertia of motion, electrolyte tester, simulation ray pad and food chain. All the science students participated actively and enjoyed the workshop. A total of 105 models were prepared. The workshop concluded by thanking the resource person Sri Manjunath and Principal Dr B . G. Dharwad presented a momento as a token of gratitude on behalf of the college. Preeti shared her experiences regarding the workshop.Principal Dr B. G Dharwad appreciated the efforts of the resource person and thanked Aequs company and Agastya foundation in his presidential speech. Chairperson of Science Club Dr S. A Narasgouda thanked the resource person and Aequs and Agastya foundation. The models have created a mini laboratory in the college for use as TLMs.The Science Club of the college owes all gratitude and obligation to Aequs company and Agastya foundation for this noble endeavour. Students were greatly benefitted by the wonderful experience.
